Paul Boyer


Incumbent Senator

Senator Paul Boyer is a junior high school teacher and represents Legislative district 20, which includes much of Glendale and North Phoenix. He is the Chairman of the Senate Education Committee and serves on the Finance and Transportation and Technology Committees.

Previously, Paul spent three years as legislative liaison with the Arizona Department of Corrections before becoming a policy advisor and spokesman for Republicans in the State House of Representatives.

Paul has championed policies to provide more funding for first responders, responsibly invested in our K-12 and higher education systems, supported local business throughout Arizona, and fought to provide justice for victims of sexual abuse. As a Dad and Husband, Paul has fought to protect kids and families, all while ensuring Arizonan’s have access to the healthcare benefits they have earned.

His success in advancing conservative principles in state government has earned him the respect of his peers, receiving multiple awards and being recognized for his efforts by a variety of organizations has received the Outstanding Alumni of the Year award from Paradise Valley Community College, legislator of the year award from the Arizona Association of County School Superintendents, Outstanding Leadership & Advocacy in Protecting Arizona’s Children award from NotMYkid, and legislator of the year award from the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Paul is an Arizona native who grew up in the West Valley and graduated Magna Cum Laude from ASU with a Bachelors in English and a Masters in Communication Studies. Paul and his family currently live in Glendale.
